Client Reports

Unedited, Including the Awkward Bits

We ask clients for feedback a month after handover rather than on the day, because the day is always positive and the month is honest.

They gauged my three-year-old irons before selling me anything and found four of them a full degree flat. Two hours on the bench and the set played better than it had in years. I bought new wedges later because I wanted to, not because I was pushed into it.

Roger ManciniIron Assessment · Naples

I have been fit three times in two states and this was the first time anybody showed me the finished measurements next to the ones we agreed on. The driver came back a point heavier than planned and they told me before I asked, then explained why they had left it there.

Two extra wraps of tape under the lower hand fixed a hook I had spent an entire winter of lessons on. Fifteen dollars. They gave me that answer before mentioning a single new club, which I still find slightly baffling as a business decision.

Alan KirtlandGrip & Lie Check · Naples

Honest note: the build took eleven days, not the nine they quoted, because a shaft was back-ordered. They called on day six to warn me rather than letting me find out. I would rather have that call than a shorter estimate that turns out to be fiction.

Preston FairlieFull Bag Rebuild · Estero

My hybrid and my 4-iron went exactly the same distance for two seasons and I never questioned it. Talia measured both in twenty minutes and explained the overlap so clearly I felt silly. One replacement club and I have a real gap again.

Sunita OhriHybrid Fitting · Naples

I come down from Michigan every January and my grips are always shot after the summer in storage. Emory has done them four years running and remembers my build-up without me saying anything. Small thing, but it is why I keep going back.

Gordon TavistockSeasonal Regrip · Marco Island

I brought in heads I bought online expecting an argument about it. Instead they gauged everything, found one head a degree and a half strong, and built the set around that fact rather than pretending it did not exist.

My daughter is fourteen and growing about an inch a year. They charge her half rate and re-check her set every few months, which for a junior player is the difference between playing with equipment that fits and playing with hand-me-downs.

Marisol HerreraJunior Fitting · Naples

Putter session on a Tuesday morning. An hour of rolling balls at a strip of turf and watching where they actually started. Turned out my putter was two degrees of loft too strong for my hands-forward stroke. Bending it cost eight dollars.

How We Collect These

Thirty Days, Then We Ask

Everyone who has work done here gets one email a month later asking two questions: did the clubs do what we said they would, and was anything about the experience worse than expected. That is the whole survey.

We publish what comes back, including the parts that are not flattering, because a wall of unbroken praise tells a prospective client nothing. If a build ran late or a recommendation missed, that is useful for the next person to read.

Nobody is offered a discount for a review and we do not chase anyone who does not reply.
