They gauged my three-year-old irons before selling me anything and found four of them a full degree flat. Two hours on the bench and the set played better than it had in years. I bought new wedges later because I wanted to, not because I was pushed into it.

I have been fit three times in two states and this was the first time anybody showed me the finished measurements next to the ones we agreed on. The driver came back a point heavier than planned and they told me before I asked, then explained why they had left it there.

Two extra wraps of tape under the lower hand fixed a hook I had spent an entire winter of lessons on. Fifteen dollars. They gave me that answer before mentioning a single new club, which I still find slightly baffling as a business decision.

Honest note: the build took eleven days, not the nine they quoted, because a shaft was back-ordered. They called on day six to warn me rather than letting me find out. I would rather have that call than a shorter estimate that turns out to be fiction.

My hybrid and my 4-iron went exactly the same distance for two seasons and I never questioned it. Talia measured both in twenty minutes and explained the overlap so clearly I felt silly. One replacement club and I have a real gap again.

I come down from Michigan every January and my grips are always shot after the summer in storage. Emory has done them four years running and remembers my build-up without me saying anything. Small thing, but it is why I keep going back.
